Asking For Tap

We Want Tap
by Provokateur
The humble tap. You turn it on, and cold, local, nutritious water comes out. When you’ve had enough, you turn it off. Simple. Perfect. And yet, instead, we transport tonnes of the stuff all around the world in little plastic bottles, ¾ of which don’t get recycled. Tap water is 1,000 times cheaper than bottled, releases over 1,000 times less CO2 per litre, and tastes almost identical. Because it’s water.

Here’s a thing… Claridges hotel, one of the nicest B&Bs London has to offer, has a water menu featuring 30 different types from every corner of the globe. You can order volcanic water from New Zealand springs, or, if you prefer, Artesian spring H20 from Shuzenji, Japan. All for up to 100,000 times the price of cleaner, healthier, humble tap. Money can’t buy you love, or common sense either it seems.
