Human Heat

I had a housemate last year who insisted on having the heating on all of the time, he even set it to be on when we were out! madness! the first thing you should do when you are cold is to put a bleeping jumper on not reach for your thermostat! I rarely have the heating on, even in winter, I just wrap up warm or if it's very cold use one of those hallogin heaters to keep one room warm.

Open Eastern window curtains in the morning. Close them at noon and open Western window curtains. Button up at sunset. Repeat. Heat the downstairs, Let hot air drift upstairs.

Cute video ;-) I keep the heat low in winter and rely on layers by day and comforters and cuddling by night. Considering I live in the mountains (just dug out of our third 7" snow in as many weeks) and the perpetually rising fuel costs, it is only practical to practice alternative warmth methods to save money and the planet ;-)
