Walk The Walk

Get around with less machine power and more of your own steam power. If you Walk The Walk, or pedal the pedal, you'll see the world around you and burn plenty of fat but no fossil fuel which means you'll go from A to B without making any C.

I haven't had a car for six years. I rarely need to go anywhere and usually i can just hitch a ride with family.

Moved to London from Los Angeles. Ditching my car was the happiest part. LOVE walking in London. These boots were made for walking.

I liRico, life without a car would be qujite straining in this rather mouve in Puerto ntainous island that has very bad public transportaion. I did get rid of my suv 2 years ago and now have a small car that consumes very little fuel. But still have to work on doing the walk. There are places I could go just by walking. I would have to readjust my sense of what can be acomplished in a acertain amount of time, but I think it's well worth the effort. I will certainly try it.

I haven't had a car for 2.5 years and recently I have taken to walking 1/3 of the way home. Not only does this save me a little cash and mean one less transport change and less CO2, but it also gives me a little extra exercise!

I am from a family of 6, where my parents have brought up 4 girls with no car. We've always just used public transport and its not hard to make it work for you! I love my bike!

I started to learn to drive at 17, but the experience (first lesson 2 hrs driving round central london) was so horrible that after failing the first test, i never did it again and am now married to a guy who had pretty much the same experience with hating driving. So. A no car household, which folks will try to tell you is impossible to bring up kids. hahaha. So it is is mainly electric trains and diesel buses for me. I would love to do better and not have to use them as much either. Only thing is, our area is too scary for me to ride a bike. ok I know I am a cowardycowardycustard, but sorry it really is too scary with no segregated bike lanes.

I got rid of my car almost 2 years ago now. I cycle to work and most local trips when I am on my owm. I love it as well as knowing that I am saving CO2 and keeping myself fit.
