We were delighted to attend last nights 2009 Green Awards in London, the UK's premier awards for green communications.
Jonathan Porritt, as always, gave a scintillating talk (sadly not online yet) about why the marketing and creative industries have such an important role to play - and in particular about the type of communication that is most likely to create the positive change in attitudes and behaviours. He also dismissed the most recent Act on CO2 campaign as a great example of what not to do if you want to inspire behaviour change
Green Thing was thrilled to pick up an award for the second year running - as Best New Media campaign for our Glove Love campaign (congratulations to Michael Wright and Hibiki Films of the film supporting the campaign) - though its not obvious that the host Janey Lee-Grace was quite as exicted as the rest of the team.

We were also please that the Green Awards chose to show our Quick Recipe for a Successful Copenhagen - which was one of only two films in the course of the evening to receve silence and then spontaneous applause.
Anyway, enought trumpet blowing, thank you to the Green Awards and congratulations to the other Awards winners.
