Ok so by now we all have the concept of bike sharing schemes quite firmly in our minds. They are popping up in cities the world over and are generally going down quite a storm. You get to use a bike whenever you want without having the buy it, store it, fix it when it breaks and worry about leaving it chained up somewhere when you pop to buy some milk. So what's next?
Helmet sharing.
Helmets are pretty bulky things and trying to squeeze one into your bag next to your laptop, your packed lunch, your flat shoes, a waterproof coat, a refillable bottle of water, two packs of tissues, some gloves, an umbrella, the latest bestselling novel, your diary and of course your money, keys and phone, well, it's a little bit tight to say the least.
So the people at SandVault have come up with the HelmetStation, the very first helmet dispensing unit. You pay for a helmet when you borrow a bike and when you're done Pedaling the Pedals, you return both the bike and the helmet. And yes, don't worry they sanitise them between each user.
A bike you don't have to own, a helmet you don't have to carry around, all we need now is someone to pedal for us and we're all set!
