It is a truth well known that at some point before the age of 4, all small children will be more excited by the cardboard box housing their present than the actual present itself.
Ask any of the older members of your family and they will no doubt recount a time when you did this.
Imagination is a powerful thing and after the delight of an empty box, the wrapping paper usually comes a close second as the treasured item followed lastly by the present itself.
My brother and I would play with cardboard over most other toys for the majority of our childhood. We built forts and castles, cars and horses, computers and space shuttles, entire other worlds and managed to occupy ourselves (and our mum) for hours, snipping, sticking and stacking.
Our latest video Cardboard is all about this versatile, creative and much-loved toy. From toilet roll tubes to cereal boxes, Amazon packaging to shoes boxes, you'll find cardboard in almost every room of your house. It's light, safe, draw-on-able, stickable, recyclable and has endless uses. Is it any wonder that it's one of the best loved children's toys going?
So once you've watched our new video, open up your cupboards, rummage through your recycling bin and search the attic.
You already own this toy. Now you just need to start playing.
