Quite how the UK government can approve a third runway airport expansion at Heathrow today - which will create an estimated 220 thousand more flights a year - while separately campaigning for an 80% reduction in CO2 and keep a straight face is beyond us frankly. It's interesting to watch George Mombiot interviewing EasyJet CEO Andy Harrison about his claims to make his firm Britain's greenest airline. If Mombiot interviewed Gordon Brown about the ludicrous contradictions in his airport expansion schemes and te government nonsense talked about creating a "green Heathrow", I wonder if he'd give the same kind of evasive response, wilfully ignoring facts that don't fit his theories and simply not saying anything at all when he didn't want to answer the question. Probably.
