I posted here about Jane McGonigal's awesome TED talk and launch of her new online game "Evoke" a month ago.
Jane's thesis is that if we can harness a fraction of the positive energy, hope, creativity, courage, resourcefulness, co-operation, generosity and focus that gets poured into three billion hours of online gamplay every week (she thinks it needs to be 21 billion ;-), the answer to that question will be that "we can make any future we can imagine", and that games can help us imagine and design a better world.
