Green Thing picks up his award

Here's a picture of Green Thing proudly displaying his Best Green Digital award which he collected at last night's Green Awards show.

This fabulous Green Thing was made entirely out of recycled newspaper and old converse shoes, by the way, by brilliant young artist Jaina Kuntawala (more on her and her marvellous Green Thing creation shortly).

So then, the award. The panel of judges at the Green Awards described Green Thing as, “fantastic, original and laughter inducing; a very strong concept and high quality material that’s got legs!” Well how marvellous really.

We were short listed but narrowly pipped to the post for the Grand Prix which went to Nokia in the end. But hey, there's always next year - and we like Nokia because they're helping Green Thing anyway so all's well in the world.

The award might even cheer Mister Glovey up. Nah, probably not.
