Who doesn't love lego, with its brightly coloured pieces and designs, you can make virtually anything. Now, there's another reason to love it. Its taken on educational renewable energy packs that let kids build their own sources of renewables.
The description on the pack says:
Embracing a wide range of elements-including a solar panel, a capacitor and two motors-this set helps students investigate the concepts of energy, energy sources, electricity and the environment by building models. Contains building instructions for constructing windmill, water mill or solar-powered Ferris wheel and several supplementary models
It's a powerful thing LEGO has done, getting young people thinking about the technology, but also bringing renewables into the norm.

Think 30 years into the future. A budding young scientist wins the nobel peace prize for inventing a new source of renewable technology that will save the planet. When asked about her inspiration, she says LEGO. Amazing.
