One Giant Leap

Our clever policy-savvy friends at Sandbag are oganinsing a world-wide event this Saturday called One Giant Leap to urge world leaders to agree a global deal for clean energy when they negotiate a new climate change treaty in Copenhagen this December.

There are two ways to take part:

1) You can leap from tall buildings in a single bound. It would greatly help your chances of survival if you happened to be extremley adept at Parkour.

The 3,500 runners in 100 cities in 35 countries who'll be taking part (which all adds up to "One Giant Leap") are all such Parkour pros. They do the kind of things you can see in the video above.

2) If you're not a Parkour pro, you might prefer to just sign the petition here. Sandbag's campaigners will deliver it to leaders and negotiators in the run up to December.

We at Green Thing will obviously be going for option 1) - probably looking a bit like the bloke in underpants in this promo though.
