Peepoo bag!

We thought it best to wait until after you had finished your lunch to post this one, but it just goes to show that pretty much everything can be reused!

Peepoo bag

One of the UN Millennium Development Goals is to halve, by 2015, the proportion of people without sustainable access to drinking water and sanitation - currently every 15 seconds a child dies from water contamination. Therefore, Peepoople have put their creative heads together and come up with the Peepoo bag.

The Peepoo bag is a single-use, personal, portable and low-cost loo for many people who don't have one. The bag is biodegradable, safe to bury underground and remains pong free for up to 24 hours!

However, and here's the extra clever bit, approx 2-4 weeks after use, the contents become lovely high-quality fertiliser!

You're absolutely right, this clever little bag is lined with a urea-coated gauze layer that disinfects all waste!

Interesting! I didn't realize it was safe to use that type of waste for fertilizer, though.
