The bike that kids can't grow out of

Getting your kids to Pedal The Pedals from a young age is a great idea, but children have this habit of growing a lot faster than their bikes, meaning one thing: you are having to buy a lot of bikes.

Finally though there is an answer to these growing pains. Spanish bicycle manufacturer, Orbea, have launched a new bike which actually 'grows' with your kid.

The bike can expand meaning it should last twice as long as a normal bike. GROW bikes also mean that your children can ride a bike that is not too big, not too small but one that is just right. Now that's a wheely good idea if ever we heard one.

And while we're on the subject of stuff that grows with your children, how about a bed that gets bigger as your kids do? This beautiful wooden crib can be turned into a bed as your child outgrows the need for a cot. You simply take off the sides and lower the mattress and hey presto - crib into bed in two easy moves.

If only the transition between darling baby and door slamming teenager was just as pain free.

P.S. Sometimes it feels like your kids have grown out of their clothes between breakfast and lunch. Forget shopping, save yourself some time and money and rent their clothes instead.
