Hello and welcome to Barnet's Plug Out and Walk Group! Plugging Out and Walking saves energy and will help you cut carbon, calories and cash. You can use this space to find out how your neighbours are plugging out and walking, and share your own stories about your 3 ‘Plug Out and Walk' pledges.
Whether you're pledging to ditch the car and walk more, plug out and switch things off, or wrap your home up in fuel-bill busting insulation, be proud and shout about it. Adding a story is easy, just use the ‘Add a Story' link in the orange panel on the right and post up what you've been doing. And if you fancy flexing your creative muscles, even better, feel free to add a photo or video.
As well as oodles of fame and glory, each time you post up a story about the ‘Plug Out and Walk' thing you've been doing that week, you'll get the chance to win some fab prizes in our weekly prize draw. The first of the prizes up for grabs are iTunes vouchers worth £25, so get posting to be in with a chance!
All members of this group will automatically go through to our Grand Prize Draw in July, with the awesome prize of a year's green energy. To enter all you have to do is make sure you've signed up and joined this group by 30 June.
And whilst you're browsing stories or the videos above for some cool inspiration, do feel free to leave comments, ask a question, or simply share your carbon-cutting wisdom with the world - and invite your friends to do the same.
We'll be updating you regularly with news, views, hints and tips, as well as showcasing our favourite stories, and other fabulous creative content to inspire you with your pledges, so do keep checking back. And don't forget to keep adding your own stories for a chance to win some great prizes.
