Should've been Plugged Out at birth No. 13

No, no, no, no, no.....no. If ever there was a good reason to Stick With What You Got in the gadget department, this is it.

According to Gizmondo, it is:

"World's Stupidest, Most Expensive iPhone Mod Yet Costs 2.5 Million Dollars."

That's because it comes with 19-carat gold plus a 6.6 carat diamond home button, looks like the kind of grotesque travesty of blinged-out tastelesness only a 5-year old would think is beautiful, and costs $2,500,000 dollars (no, that's not a typo).

A prime example of something that Should've been Plugged Out at birth, along with all the rich idiots who bought one.

Don't Worry, Be 'Appy

Green Thing reckons it's better to Walk The Walk and drive less when you can, but for those times when you have to get around in a motor (and of course there's a lot of them) then you don't necessarily need to own one to do it.

This is a great tool to help you Axe The Auto altogether. Use the app to find a Zipcar when you need one, see it on a Google map, check out details and book it, then make the horn beep so you can easily find it, and then unlock the damn thing. Yup, all on the iPhone.

A fabulous taste of life in an on/offline connected world. Brilliant utility.

Sense and Sustainability

The Copenhagen Wheel is "A new mode of transport for a rapidly changing world"so they claim. How so? Slap on this new high tech wheel to turn your bicycle into a hybrid electric bike which a) allows you to harness regenerative breaking energy like the Prius and b) connect with your smart phone to sense and display the mobile environment - e.g. map pollution levels, traffic congestion, and road conditions in real-time.

It's certainly an innovative way to Pedal the Pedals. You use your smart phone to lock or unlock the bike, change gears, work out how much stored braking power you want to use in the motor on hills, or share info about your fitness levels, routes or traffic congestion with friends on a social network (and then crash into a lampost because you weren't looking at the road?).
