Green Thing has two mouths and three eyes but five pairs of talented hands created this video. The sublime penning hands of Andrew Rae who designed the brilliant characters; the subtle 12-frames-per-second hands of Tom Baker who created the deft animation as well as the veggie girlfriend and the driving temptress;the skilled motion graphics hands of Oliver Smith who created the moving logo at the end; the ten tinkling fingers of Marc Folan who created "Kind of Green," the suave Green Thing theme; and the laid back vocal talents of Aaron Willmer who used both his hands to hold the script. Huge thanks to them all.

It's a symbol of the constant upgrade cycle. In the iPhone's case I personally love it I have to say. Also someone made an interesting point about convergence meaning you need less gadgets overall. Naresh doesn't like iPhones though. In answer to the question from a friend 'should I upgrade to an iphone?' he replied: "iphones are too big iphones are too heavy iphones are shaped like soap and because they're shaped like soap, when they slip out of your hand like soap, the combination of their size and weight means that they break when they hit the ground and then you have to take them to the istore where you're patronised by geeks who call themselves geniuses plus they're real dur-phones they have big icons for stupid people and big icons that you touch just in case you're not bright enough to figure that a button below the screen can activate something on the screen - I know, it's a stretch plus an iphone is uncomfortable hybrid between phone and computer that will be seen and mocked as one like the Sinclair C5 (tricycle/golf cart) and the Discman (CD player/walkman)." So that might explain why the iPhone is in the animation ;-)

That said, apart from the iphone point, I think the animation and the message is great! I'll be doing the Green thing

So why can't we have iphones? Surely by saying "I'm happy to stick with what I've got" that stifles innovation. Developments like iphones and other new technologies will make the world a greener place.

== Some comments from Vimeo === ginga 3 hours ago absolutely loved it! Podratic plus 1 month ago it's not easy being green. you just have to try Priyesh Puthan Valiyandi 1 month ago Fantastic!!! Mike Revelle 1 month ago to great. how did you make this? is it drawed out or computer animation? Green Thing (err, me) 1 month ago a bit of both Mike. A fantastic illustrator called Andrew Rae designed the monster and then brilliant animator Tom Baker made him walk and talk on screen. Justin Kohse 3 months ago this is great, i loved it! the voice was perfect for the little green guy.

yes, the radiator is lovely! Could take over from the Pixar anglepoise as the poster character for green things.

I love the backpedaling radiator. Great touch. Way to bring it back for an encore at the end.

Hey Guys, I hate to be critical but I think it's an important distinction to make: tsunamis and volcanoes (two of the three things making your world look scary) are not caused by climate change. Better things to have on that scary world would be hurricanes and melting ice caps, methinks. Otherwise, v. cool. Adam PS so that's what a Lincolnshire accent sounds like then...
