Podcasts which you could, in fact, call walkcasts.

Hope you like the magnificent walkcasts to help you get walking which you can download from the Do it page. Listening to Golden Brogues makes the Green Thing team feel like we’re strolling to Tottenham Court Road via Morocco. And Howie B’s super-chilled, trip-hop track puts the cut in our strut and the glide in our stride. Tracy Chevalier has written a brilliant walking story. And Martin Jones’ extraordinary walking song may well be a pivotal moment in the history of language and music. Or not.

But that’s enough about them, let’s talk about you. You can help us keep everyone walking by sending in more material for future walkcasts. You keep whatever copyright you like, we just need permission for others to download and share them (and ideally remix them if they want, but that’s optional if you’d rather not).

The whole idea of Green Thing is that people don’t just do things for one month and then move on to the next month. They’re supposed to keep doing them. So we need to put together some more walkcasts to post over the coming months that we can all keep walking to.

If you’ve got any short stories about walking or pieces of music at 105 bpm that people can walk to which you’d like to contribute, then please upload them and tell us about it. We’ll see how many views, ratings and comments they get, add in some input from publishers and music industry folk (like Paul Gathercole from Universal), and choose some final compilations for everyone to enjoy.

Got something to say?
