Give new hope to an old and broken thing by fixing it. You’ll also be thwarting dastardly manufacturers who cunningly build obsolescence (like total battery failure) into new things to make us buy their ‘new and improved’ models over and over again. Go on, fix your old thing, wipe the smile off their cunning faces and make them gnash their teeth like second-hand threshing machines.

I have a 'sad iPod' icon on my iPod mini. Anyone have ideas on how to get this repaired? (I've followed their online directions to no avail.) Otherwise, I want to revolt against Mac for making products that constantly need to be replaced - so I'm open to suggestions of other MP3 players.
