dumped supermarkets
8 years ago on new year's eve everyone else was giving up sex, drugs and rock and roll and the usual list of new year's things to do without ... I thought about it and gave up supermarkets ...

I haven't looked back - the first few months was harder trying to source local outlets but once I got used to it it was so so so exciting - shopping somewhere people know your name, buying earthy grubby veg and getting to know people locally.

I eat food in season, I eat locally sourced products, I buy ethical and free trade goods ... I would encourage anybody else to do the same - or at least try it - it also stops you yearning for the latest in red pepper hummus and so on ... and out of season foods

huge amounts of fun
