When clearing of my book shelves I realised I had all these unwanted (and some even unread) books. It was time to get rid of them, de-clutter.
Feeling admittly quite guilty of the waste these books showed. I offered them to my friends and family, who took afew.
With the left over books I took some to a car boot sale and gave the rest to the local charity shop. Empty shelves and not one thing binned.
Everyones happy

Of course there's the wonderful http://www.bookcrossing.com where "739,397 people in over 130 countries come to share their passion for books with the world."

I am working on some art using unwanted books. Did you know that paper can be spun into yarn? Or that the covers can be folded into a nifty wallet? Or that the paper can be soaked and glued to make bowls, folders, boxes and other containers? Also, remeber that homeless people often really appreciate books, so send some along to your local shelter. Finally, how about leaving books at railway and bus stations for the pleasure of weary, C02 saving commuters?
