Firewinders on the Southbank for Earth Hour 2009
We love Earth Hour. We don't understand why anyone would want to keep their lights on all night when they've closed shop and gone home. We took a bunch of our wind-powered lights (called Firewinders) to the South Bank in London and met up with some new friends. To be honest, London's contribution to Earth Hour was very underwhelming. But, it was good to see a few notable buildings on the landscape become darkened silhouettes. If you don't know... we're all about off-grid and wind-powerd lights... we're part of the solution, not part of the problem. Firewinder is all about inspiring people that there are alternative solutions to our energy problems and while Firewinder is not going to change the world, it might inspire you to.

If any Do The Green Thing followers are inspired by this video and want to get their hands on their own Firewinder - to add some wind-powered magic & sparkle to their outdoor space and help inspire their neighborhood to go green - then go to www.firewinder.com and use the discount code iwantone - that should help in these times of credit crunch!
