Story from chocoholix
OK, yesterday I seriously walked the walk home from a work event in Westminster to Kensington instead of getting the bus or tube - this is a great walk as you hop up Birdcage Walk and into St James' Park, then a quick skirt round Buck Palace and along the south side of Green Park, across the pedestrian crossing at Hyde Park corner and into Hyde Park. At this point, it was pretty late and dark (I'd been at an evening event with lots of international development bods and it was well past 10pm), so I did hop on the bus back to Ladbroke Grove. But if it'd been lighter, I could have gone on into Kensington Gardens to Notting Hill gate and then down the hill home. I've often cycled this route, and sometimes strolled bits of it with friends at the weekend, but don't often walk it as a commuting option. But it's a great way of getting a bit of after work exercise (and by god I need it) whilst doing the green thing.
