Story from racheljones

We ran an event in High Barnet over the weekend and we asked Barnet residents to write down and share their food waste prevention tips and we had some great ones. Here are a few:

'Cut stale bread into cubes and fry to make croutons for salads.'
'Mix left over turkey, chicken or beef into bolognaise.'
'Yorkshire puddings with a twist - pour batter over leftovers and bake it in a hot oven.'
'Always ensure that the oldest bottle of milk is the most accessible in the fridge.'
'Whatever delicious meal you cook in the evening, take the leftovers to work for lunch the next day and make your work-mates jealous and curious!'
