I have always tried to recycle, back in the 90's I was a kid who would try to take down some plastic bottles to be recycled at the recycling centre by the local library. Now it's a lot easier to recycle, we have recycling bins that take away the majority of things that we can recycle easily.
I have gotten further into being green at my place of work; where we do try to be enviromentally friendly, we do campaign's to highlight certain things that are going on in the world that we feel that our customer's need to know about or learn about; not all of them are about taking care of the enviroment, but some are; one we did a year and a half ago about buying naked products than package one's, or one of the most recent one was about an orginisation called Sea Shepard and highlighting the plight of the sharks.
Anyway, going off topic there; I came here because I saw the short video's on the Community Channel in the UK, and figured this would be as good a place as any to learn more about all things Green. Also in my place of work I am responsible to making sure that my store is recycling properly, so I figured it would be an added bonus to do two things at once, part for my working life and another part for my private life.
In my private life I walk nearly everywhere, apart from the places that would take me an age to get to; ie work and going into town. I try to remember to take bag's with me when I go shopping; and I try to make my own things - although I am stuck at making scarfs at the moment...
