Story from NYBrowne
Almost completed my OU openings course in Environmental Science... a good grounding in the principles, and some stunning statistics. Sustainable living means that our eco footprint should be no more than 1.8 hectares per person, and that leaves no bio productive land for wilderness. Also those long life plastic bags from supermarkets: you need to use them more than 10 times to begin to recoup the extra energy and petrochemicals required to make the thicker bags. Swith to cotton/jute etc bags NOW!!
