These Terms and Conditions (Ts & Cs) cover www.dothegreenthing.com (Green Thing). Your use of the site indicates your agreement to abide by these Ts & Cs and the Privacy Policy. Especially if you've signed up and ticked that little box.

Every now and again we might have to change or update the Ts & Cs, for example if something crops up that we hadn’t thought of. We probably won’t send out an email letting you know this, so do check the Ts & Cs from time to see whether any changes have been made.

We encourage users to link to us - no need to ask. However, we don't permit our pages to be used within frames on your site.

We cannot be responsible for the reliability of links on this site, the availability of linked pages or the content on sites we or our users link to. We don't necessarily endorse the information on third-party sites. But we do think they are worth checking out, or we or our users wouldn't have included them.

We encourage users to comment on most pages of the site. As a general rule, comments should be interesting and informative for other users and the following guidelines must be adhered to:

• If a comment is made with your user ID, we'll assume it was posted by you.
• Play nice. This is not the place for offensive, defamatory, libellous, abusive, obscene, threatening, harassing, unlawful, profane, sexually or racially explicit or discrimatory material. Do not make misleading or false statements and please no illegal text, graphics, video or audio.

• We can't be responsible for information posted across the site. However, if we receive notice of any posting that does not follow these terms of use, we reserve the right to delete it. So if you spy anything that you don’t like, let us know and we will review it.

While we really hope we never have to do this, we do reserve the right to edit, remove or delete material if it breaches any specific Ts & Cs – or is obviously against the spirit of them or Green Thing.

In the event of uploading photographs, videos, podcasts, comments, quotes, blogs or any other material (“content”) you agree:

• you have reviewed and agree to comply with these Ts & Cs
• you have the rights necessary to authorise Green Thing and its designers to copy, distribute, adapt, display, perform and otherwise use the content, and you hereby grant such authorization
• you have granted the right to Green Thing to use this content
• the content has not been modified or altered in any manner so as to distort or misrepresent any individual or thing depicted
• the content does not contain any personal information such as a name, phone number or email address; and content of groups or offensive materials may not be posted.

All intellectual property rights associated with this web site are owned and controlled by Green Thing Limited except for third-party content which is embedded in the site, or where otherwise specified.

"Do the Green Thing" and the Green Thing logo are trademarked and may not be used without Green Thing's prior written permission, except for non-commercial use that can be classified as 'fair dealing'. We play fair here and expect you to do likewise.

Most content created by Green Thing will be covered by the Creative Commons license, unless otherwise noted to have full copyright protection. Content embedded from third-party sites is covered by the rights protection state on those sites.

You may display any RSS feeds we provide on your web site. See above for information regarding the intellectual property rights and copyright of these feeds. You may not charge users for accessing content from this web site or otherwise use the content for commercial gain.

You must abide by the Ts & Cs and privacy policy of any third party sites wherein you post content that is embedded within the Green Thing site.

Green Thing may not be used to send chain letters, junk mail, 'spam', solicitations (commercial or non-commercial) or bulk communications of any kind unless the recipient has given specific permission to be included in such a list.

In order to access some features of this site, you will have to sign up for an account. Keep your password secure because you are responsible for the activity that occurs on your account. Please notify Green Thing immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account by sending us an email to help@dothegreenthing.com.

While we really hope this is never necessary, we do reserve the right to terminate an individual’s account.

Green Thing is only for users who are over 18 years of age or are a minor over 13 years of age with parental consent to use the service and register. We do not allow persons who we know to be 13 years of age or younger to register with Green Thing.

We do not collect or record any user's age. If you have received inappropriate mailings, please email us at help@dothegreenthing.com and we will suppress the email address from our outgoing communications as soon as possible.

We cannot be responsible for any loss of data, disruption or damage to your computer that results from visiting www.dothegreenthing.com - after all it might not have been our fault.

We strongly recommend that you run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from this site and the third-party sites we link to.

This site is provided 'as is'. We do not guarantee that the functions or content of this site will be error free, fit for purpose, of satisfactory quality or available.
