I have been involved in researching and developing sustainable and environmentally / ecologically 'friendly' methods of building construction - my particular interest is with building materials and how they are made and used, e.g. the use of plant fibres such as Industrial Hemp, Lime, Earthen: Adobe, Rammed Earth (pisé de terre) etc... I am currently in a period of limbo, not actively ‘practically’ engaged with any such research work, but am itching to do some more, i.e. carrying on where I previously left off (University related). As ever there are financial implications and barriers to pursuing this further.
