I put those thermostatic radiator valves everywhere, so I can turn the heating down easily in rooms we're not in, and not have radiators blasting in rooms that are already warm enough.

I try very hard to ebay anything I no longer need, which has the added advantage of making me some money. And if I can't ebay it, I'll try to donate it to a charity shop.
