I've plugged out completely from the tumble dryer and have been using my solar-powered model - aka clothes line - instead! The last few days have been so lovely and sunny, and breezy too, that the clothes dry in no time. I've heard tumble dryers use the most energy out of all our appliances, so I'm sure I'll be saving money off my electricity bill by not using it, as well as helping the planet.

I've been decluttering the garage and have so far filled about 4 bin bags of stuff that I'll be taking to charity, things like ornaments and lamps, old games and so on. I also found a load of ring-binders from my college days that I'll be giving to a local school as it's a shame to just throw them away. One man's junk is another man's treasure as they say...

I only ever ask for tap in restaurants - and so far I haven't had any snobby or funny looks from the waiters (even ones at really nice places). And it means I'll probably buy a drink as well because I haven't wasted all my money on bottled water.
