I started a worm bin so I could compost kitchen waste. As I love to cook, I make lots of peelings etc. Over four years the thrill of seeing a load of peelings, cheese rinds, floor sweepings and plate scrapings turn into lovely crumbly brown compost has never palled. And boy do they breed! I've handed out one or two worm starter packs to neighbours. Major tips - make sure drainage is good, don't put in great lumps of stuff in cold weather, add plenty of shredded paper, newspaper, egg boxes or whatever. Give them a nice bubble wrap blanket in cold weather. Oh and talk nicely to them, heh heh
