Introducing the Green Thing Wiki
Beneath Green Thing, informing all the monthly Green Things, is the Wiki Thing. The Wiki Thing is the most serious part of Green Thing, the place where The Green Thing community can post pieces of research or points of view about the real carbon impact of individual actions.
It's the scientific blueprint on which the monthly Green Things are based, and it exists here and in this form because there wasn't another source or resource that brought all of it together or one that changed quickly and responsively to the latest scientific understanding.
Want to Wiki?
The Green Thing Wiki already has over 200 quick and more difficult 'do it' actions that will save CO2 and each of these actions has its own separate page. Eventually, we would like all of these pages to contain some info on the science behind the CO2 saving and some useful links that will help you 'do it'.
To post a fact or a discovery or a viewpoint on the Green Thing Wiki, or express a view on something that is already there, please sign up . All we ask is that you read How to Wiki and play nicely.
Where to Start?
Have a look at the Walk whenever possible page for an example of what we are looking for. Any page that is red not green needs your love, care and attention. And remember that this wiki is Green Thing's serious side so we do need your facts and figures to be backed up by sources.
Help
If you run into difficulties when adding to the wiki, send an email to: wiki@dothegreenthing.com
Not sure you want to wiki?
If you don't want to bear the massive responsibility of becoming a Green Thing Wiki master, you can still give your two cents by going to 'add comment', which is at the bottom of every page, and saying what you need to say there.
Thank you. |
