Plug into better machines CO2 Calculations

Switching to energy efficient versions of household appliances could save around 132 kg CO2 per appliance per year (see here for full calculation and assumptions).

The CO2 values in the slider have been averaged over a month, and split equally over the four data points, calculated as follows:

Q. How many of your old machines - like a fridge, washing machine, dishwasher or tumble dryer - have been replaced with newer more energy efficient ones?

Endpoints:

None = 0 kg

All -  (132 kg x 4 appliances) / (12 months) = 44 kg CO2

Midpoints:

1 machine - (44) x (1/3) = 14.67 kg CO2

2-3 machines - (44) x (2/3) = 29.33 kg CO2
