Re-consuming CO2 Calculations

Re-using your old things, or donating them to others so they can, could save on average around 54.12 kg CO2 per item (see here for full calculation and assumptions).

The CO2 values in the slider have been averaged over a month, and split equally over the four data points, calculated as follows:

Q. How often do you invent new uses for old things or give your old things away instead of throwing them away?

Endpoints:

Never = 0 kg

Always -  (54.12 x 10 items) / (12 months) = 45.1 kg CO2

Midpoints:

A bit - (45.1) x (1/3) = 12.33 kg CO2

A lot - (45.1) x (2/3) = 24.65 kg CO2
