Recycled Reborn CO2 Calculations

Recycling household waste could save around 2.6 kg CO2 per day (see here for full calculation and assumptions).

The CO2 values in the slider have been averaged over a month, and split equally over the four data points, calculated as follows:

Q. How often do you recycle your rubbish so it can be reborn into spangly, useful new things?

Endpoints:

Never = 0 kg

Always -  (2.6 x 7 days x 4 weeks) = 72.8 kg CO2

Midpoints:

A bit - (72.8) x (1/3) = 24.27 kg CO2

A lot - (72.8) x (2/3) = 48.53 kg CO2
