Reduce the machine heat CO2 Calculations

Turning down the heat on your boiler, washing machine and dishwasher could save around 56 kg CO2 per year (see here for full calculation and assumptions).

The CO2 values in the slider have been averaged over a month, and split equally over the four data points, calculated as follows:

Q. How often do you turn down the heat on hot water machines like your boiler, dishwasher or washing machine?

Endpoints:

Never = 0 kg

Always -  (56) / (12 months) = 4.67 kg CO2

Midpoints:

A bit - (4.67) x (1/3) = 1.56 kg CO2

A lot - (4.67) x (2/3) = 3.11 kg CO2
